This show is generally said to have been recorded on 11/26/73, but according to the tour schedule in Gene Odom's "Remembering the Freebirds of Southern Rock" book, they played LA on the 22nd and 23rd. So it's most likely one of these two dates. Here we have Lynyrd Skynyrd opening up for The Who on their Quadrophenia Tour (incidentally, The Who Concert Guide supports these two dates as well).

Recorded during the Nuthin' Fancy sessions. Here's the only known unreleased studio recording by the original Skynyrd. The song is unfinished, and you can hear an annoyed Ronnie Van Zant yell "Cut" at the end of the song. Great song that would have fit right in on Nuthin' Fancy.
